IMPERIVM, explained step by step

This page summarises what is in the game and how to begin. You do not need to know every Metin2 system beforehand.

OVERVIEW

A Metin2-based MMORPG server

Create a character, choose a kingdom and play in a shared world. Missions, combat, trading and group activities advance your character. More complex systems unlock as you progress and remain documented in the wiki.

Sura

Sword and dark magic, with PvE and PvP specialisations.

Warrior

Close combat, defence and heavy weapons.

Shaman

Spells, group support, fans and bells.

Ninja

Fast dagger attacks or ranged combat.

01

Learn while playing

Early missions introduce controls, features and objectives.

02

Choose what to do

PvE, PvP, trading and side activities remain separate paths.

03

Information is easy to find

The wiki, drop panels and maps help you find what you need.

STEP 1 · CHARACTER

Choose a kingdom and create your character

You can begin in Jinno or Shinsoo. This choice sets your kingdom, starting town and community, but neither option is inherently better. If you play with friends, choose the same kingdom.

Kingdom and character

  • Create the class you prefer
  • Choose Jinno or Shinsoo
  • Follow the early missions to learn the controls

STEP 2 · STORY

Follow the main campaign

The story is split into twelve chapters and begins in the shared County. Missions explain the areas, introduce characters and gradually teach the main features. Important choices are recorded in your journal.

Main campaign

  • Twelve connected chapters
  • Choices recorded in your journal
  • Rewards suited to your progression

  • Duels, rankings and guild wars
  • Clearer target and drop information

STEP 4 · PROGRESSION

Develop your build

Level and equipment are only part of progression. Talents, Biologist, Monster Cards, Alchemy, Runes, Aura, Gems and Talismans let you specialise. You are not expected to manage them all at once.

Progression and builds

  • Systems unlock gradually
  • More ways to customise your character
  • Materials and sources listed in the wiki

STEP 5 · ECONOMY

Buy, sell and gather materials

Your offline shop stays open after you leave. You can search offers across channels, check price history and post orders. Fishing, gathering, mining and archaeology provide other ways to obtain materials.

Market and professions

  • Offline shops and cross-channel search
  • Purchase orders and price history
  • Fishing, gathering, mining and archaeology

STEP 6 · COMMUNITY

Play together and spend less time on chores

Guilds, voice chat, private messages and events support group play. Extended inventory, loot filters, channel switching and an informative map reduce repetitive tasks. Pets and mounts progress with your character.

Community and quality of life

  • Guilds, groups and in-client communication
  • Improved inventory and loot management
  • Pets, mounts, weather and dynamic environments

STEP 7 · CLIENT AND SECURITY

Use an updated client and protect your account

The DirectX 11 client improves lighting, shadows and weather effects. Loading is optimised for maps and crowded battles. From the account panel you can enable 2FA to require a temporary code in addition to your password.

Client and account security

  • DirectX 11 rendering
  • Optimised graphics settings and loading
  • 2FA and server-side security checks
